hero is someone who helps people courageously and not fearing anything while going against all odds. A hero must be someone with a caring heart, a heart that can care for others. This is what my group thinks that what a hero should be like. A hero need not necessarily be someone who achieved what him or her wants or someone that arise from special circumstances. Someone can be a hero just by showing his love for his homeland and courageously overcoming all odds that is in his way. A good example of a hero is Lieutenant Adnan bin Saidi. At the battle of pasir pajang, he encouraged his men not to surrender and instead fight to their death, protecting their homes. His love for his family had driven him to act in such a way. As he wanted his family to live in peace and free from enemies’’ attacks, he fought the Japanese who were invading his homeland them to his death. Thought he did not manage to eliminate the Japanese troop, he did weaken the Japanese army. His courageous act was spread and is now known as a war hero.

I think that Group 2 can do an even better job, we are not saying that their post is not good. Overall, we quite like the whole presentation on their hero. They are able to keep the infomation short and sweet and their explanations are also well linked to their topic. And the way they answered the question is really unique as they disagree that the heros achieve what they want and also, them arising from a special event. It shows that the group is thinking about these 2 descriptions of what a hero is like and to say that these 2 descriptions to them is not what that makes a hero, they are very brave to voice out their opinion.
ReplyDeleteHowever, even though their description of the hero was short and sweet, it is too breif and not much depth is revealed from their introduction of the hero. more depth would preferably be required to make us understand the details more on what the hero did and for ourselves to interpret in what sense that the hero did make him a hero. Also, with the aid of videos, it will make us understand and picture more of what happened to that hero as words are just to some, are not enough.
And a side issue, they should add in the websites where they found the infomation so as to give that website some credit. And if we wanted to know more detail, the website can guide us to more infomation of the hero.
